Additional information

We kindly ask you NOT to use the following products, as they significantly damage the ecosystems connected via aquifers:
- Sunscreen
- Mosquito repellent
- Make-up
- Perfume
Where possible, and especially at the first cenote, we ask you to take a shower before entering the water.
In general, the conditions in the cenotes are relatively stable and are not influenced too much by the weather. However, we would like to clarify the following:
- If it is cloudy, the light and mirror effects are correspondingly weaker or not visible at all.
- After long or heavy rains, it happens in some cenotes, especially open ones, that the first 1-3 meters of water become cloudy and/or discolored.
- When it rains, small waterfalls sometimes form in semi-open and closed cenotes, which once again creates a completely differentiated, wonderful scenery.
